Burkina Faso foreign minister in Morocco
Foreign minister of Burkina Faso, Youssef Ouadraogo, who started Sunday a two-day visit to Morocco, conferred in Rabat Monday with Moroccan minister of foreign affairs and cooperation, Mohamed Benaissa, on means to energize relations between the two countries.
Benaissa, who underlined the interest Morocco grants to its relations with the African continent and the close, special ties binding to Sahel countries, said Morocco and Burkina Faso can set up "a model partnership."
He renewed Morocco's resolve to consolidate African partnership, especially so, he said, as the 21st century is the century of Africa.
The Burkina Faso official underlined the importance his country grants to its relations with Morocco, saying "Morocco is extremely important for Burkina Faso." He added that "Morocco must be at the core of this Africa century."
