Moroccan - Burkina-Faso energy and mining agreement signed
Morocco and Burkina-Faso signed in Rabat Wednesday an agreement to enhance bilateral cooperation in the fields of energy and mining targeting mainly training and trade of know-how.
Minister Mustapha Mansouri said the agreement comes in follow-up of decisions made during the visit of premier Abderrahmane Youssoufi to Burkina-Faso in June 1999.
Burkina Faso's energy and mining minister Elie Justin Ouedraogo called for technical committees to further bilateral cooperation mainly in rural electrification, electricity production concessions and training and invited his Moroccan peer to attend the 6th MIGA forum in Ouagadougou which probes every year investments in African mining sectors.
