European parliament delegation in Morocco
A delegation from the European Parliament is currently visiting Morocco for talks with Moroccan officials and parliamentarians on relations between Morocco and the European Union in the frame of the association accord between the two sides.
The delegation, including vice-chairman and member of the industry, foreign trade, scientific research and energy committee, Peter Mombaur and Ms Godelieve Quisthoudt-Rowhl, held separate meetings here Wednesday with the speakers of the House of representatives and the Chamber of Advisors, Abdelouahed Radi and Mustapha Oukacha.
Talks covered cooperation prospects opened by the Morocco-EU association accord, Euro-Mediterranean cooperation and Moroccan-German relations.
The Moroccan side stressed the need to promote the southern shore of the Mediterranean saying such a promotion is likely to consolidate regional and international stability and called on Morocco's European friends to increase the flow of investments in the kingdom and to open their markets to Moroccan products.
