Ministers discuss Arab Economic Summit
Egyptian Prime Minister Atef Ebeid held a Ministerial meeting Wednesday on an agenda of an Arab Economic Conference to be hosted by Egypt in November under a resolution adopted by the Arab summit, held in March in Jordan.
"The meeting took up preparations to the conference and working papers to be prepared by different ministries and authorities," said Minister of Information Safwat el-Sherif.
He added that the meeting dwelt on issues related to Ebeid's coming tour of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Kuwait.
"The aim of the visit is consultations over issues to be addressed during the conference as well as promoting pan-Arab cooperation in various domains," Sherif added.
"Ebeid's visits will also aim at promoting trade exchange, bilateral economic cooperation between Egypt and the three countries, eliminating obstacles to commodity exchange and activation of free trade agreements," Al-Sherif said.
