The muslim world decries Rabbi Ufadiya's racist declarations
The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO, based in Rabat) had decried the racist declarations made by the Rabbi Ufadiya Joseph, President of Sephardi Jews faction of the World in which he called for ''exterminating Arabs and wiping them out of the face of the earth.''
ISESCO "condemns vehemently these dangerous declarations and considers this blatant attack against Arabs and Muslims," the Pan-Islamic Organization said in a release sent to MAP.
Rabbi Ufadiya, who is the spiritual president of the Shas religious movement in Israel, recommended the Jews to be tough with the Arabs saying: do not have any mercy on them, you should shell them with rockets and exterminate them. They are ''evil people.''
ISESCO termed the statements as a criminal, racist and despisable act and an invitation for more aggression against the Palestinian and the Arab Muslim nation.
"These racist declarations reflect the truth about the aggressive positions taken by the extremist Jews in Israel against all Arabs and Muslims," the Organization said, adding this is a dangerous development that requires an international move to condemn such provocative positions and lay bare the aggressive policies supporting them and which are contrary to peace, to international law and to the values and principles preached by heavenly religious.
The international community needs to reject and condemn such positions, it said.
The daily killing of Palestinian children and youth in the occupied Palestinian territories perpetrated by the Israeli occupying forces, the barbarous shelling of Palestinian cities and villages with rockets, tanks and helicopters and the blockade, the starvation and terrorism practiced by Israel against the Palestinians is the practical implementation of such racist and spiteful declarations and the hatred that is deep-rooted in the hearts of the Israeli extremists, the Organization stressed.
ISESCO calls upon the Muslim World to react to these hostile declarations with a unified Islamic stand based on full Islamic solidarity with the Palestinian people, who are standing fast and struggling on their own land in order to establish their independent state with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as capital.
Islam is a world religion embraced by over one billion and three hundred million people across the world, ISESCO said, adding it is a tolerant religion that does not wage war against the followers of any religion, neither in the past nor in the present.
Islam calls for tolerance and coexistence under authentic religious values and noble human principles. It preaches justice and equity and urges Muslims to respect the heavenly religions and forbids aggression and wrongdoing.
ISESCO strongly calls on the international community to counteract this Zionist onslaught which has clearly shown its religious racist background.
The Islamic Organization also affirms the need for the strengthening of the Arab Muslim ranks at all levels and the support of the resistance of the Palestinian people with all means and capabilities, for the Palestinian cause is an Arab Islamic cause and the defense of the Muslims sanctities and holy shrines in Palestine is the responsibility of all Arabs and Muslims.
