Hani Hassan, a leading member of the Palestine Liberation Organization, hailed Morocco's constant support to the Palestinian cause and to Palestinians' struggle to recover their rights.

Hani Hassan, who is guest to the 6th congress of the Socialist Union of Popular Forces (USFP-led by prime minister Abderrahmane Yousoufi), said the Moroccan king, government and people have always been a strong support to the fair cause of the Palestinian people.

He also denounced "violations of the Palestinian people rights and the slaughter perpetrated by the Zionist occupiers, deploring some western countries' backing to the Israeli policy. A Palestinian state with Al-Quds as its capital is unavoidable," he insisted.

Also invited was secretary general of the International Socialist association, Louis Ayala, who lauded the USFP militancy and the party's leading role in building the future of Morocco. He further called for joining efforts to fulfill citizens' aspirations with more justice, tolerance and humanity.

Talking on behalf of Maghreban parties, Ali Chaouch, member of Tunisian RCD, highlighted the USFP action to defend and promote freedoms. He said all political parties should intensify efforts to build the Arab Maghreb Union and called for the lifting of the embargoes enforced against Iraq and against Libya.
