On the meeting of Syrian Baath party central committee

The Kuwaiti daily al-Rai al-Am said on Sunday, according to sources it described as well-informed that the Syrian leadership has postponed the meeting of the Baath party's central committee which was due on March 18 until April but without defining a set date for this meeting.

The sources attributed the reason behind changing the date to preparations for the Arab summit conference due to be held in Amman this month.

The sources indicated sources which seek to foil this summit and to prevent it reach clear resolutions concerning the Arab- Israeli conflict.
