More killings in Algeria

Algerian dailies issued on Sunday said that 30 persons including 27 armed extremists were killed on Friday and Saturday in acts of violence that took place in various areas in Algeria.

The Algerian daily al-Watan said that 27 armed men were killed last Friday in two operations for the security forces in Ein al-Defleh area.

Situated 60 Km to the west of the capital Algiers and Askar district, situated 360 Km to the west of the capital.

Al-Watan explained that the Algerian army killed during a vast mopping up operation 19 gunmen in al-Zakkar mountain, near Ein al-Defleh.

Other Algerian dailies noted that three other persons were killed and 27 wounded on Saturday evening when an explosive went off in al-Aghwat, 400 Km to the north of the capital Algiers.
