Al-Taher elected as chairman for the Sudanese national council
In the beginning of its new term of office, the Sudanese new national council on Monday elected Ahmad Ibrahim al-Taher as the speaker for the council and Angelo Beda and Abdullah Ahmad al-Hardalo as two deputies.
Al-Taher's election was made unanimously after he was nominated by the ruling National congress party.
Al-Taher said that the coming phase will witness key developments on the political and economic developments in Sudan. A matter which requires relentless efforts from the parliament members to carry out tasks assigned to them.
