Syrian sources denies Lebanese political circles statements

The London-based al-Sharq al-Awsat daily said on Sunday that a well-informed Syrian source regretted what was stated by Lebanese political circles in that Lebanese state officials were informed a strong criticism to the leadership of the people's front for the liberation of Palestine- General Command- in protest of the reconnaissance operation carried out by two of its members in the border area of south Lebanon on Friday.

In a report issued in its Sunday's edition, the paper quoted the Syrian source as saying that these news are completely groundless and is made by the imagination of its makers and that this matter is purely Lebanese and Syria has no connection to it.
