Syrian source and Junblat's statements
A well-informed Syrian source said replying to what was stated by the Lebanese member of parliament Walid Junblat that his car's wheels melted because of his numerous visits to Damascus are no more fitting to reach it, that the question is not only a matter of "wheel as after snow will melt on the road of Daher al-Baidar ( between Beirut and Damascus) Junblat will discover that Damascus streets will not be fitting for the wheels of his car."
On what has been rumored on the continued " hard relations" between Damascus and the speaker of the Lebanese parliament Nabih Berri because of the stances he declared following his recent meeting with the Maronite patriarch Nasrullah Sfeir. the Syrian source stressed in a similar statement to al-Sharq al-Awsat that Berri will be always among the strategic allies for Syria.
On the moves made by the former secretary general of the Lebanese Communist Party George Hawi following his meeting with President Bashar al-Assad, the Syrian source denied news that Hawi was assigned by any mission, stressed that there is any form of consultation, nor co-ordination with Hawi and that has no connection to what Hawi makes whatsoever.
