Over 31,000 Moroccans refused at Sebta Check Point

Originally published

Over 31,000 Moroccans were turned down since last January at the border point of the Moroccan northern occupied town of Sebta, reports Spanish agency "Europa Press."

Quoting statistics published by the delegation of the Spanish government in the city, the agency notes that the Moroccans who were prevented by the Spanish civil guard from crossing the borders did not have any valid document to enter Spain.

According to Spanish local authorities, patrols of the civil guard also cracked down on groups of immigrants using anti-riot equipment.

The agency goes on that the immigrant pressure was reduced compared to 1999, when over 45,000 Moroccans were turned down at the border post of the occupied city.
