Syria permits the Palestinians to entyer its territories

In a news report from al-Nasera on Sunday the Palestinian agency " al-Quds Press" said that Damascus has permitted the citizens who carry Palestinian passport to enter its territories.

The agency quoted the Mufti of al-Quds and the Palestinian lands as well as the Sheikh of al-Aqsa mosque Sheikh Ikramah Sabri as saying that " President Bashar al-Assad has agreed in principle to permit those who carry the Palestinian passport to enter Syria.

Sheikh Sabri who visited Syria recently added that President al-Assad also agreed, initially, to accept the Palestinian secondary school certificate " the Baccalaureate " in Syria as well as to accept several Palestinian students in the Syrian universities as from the academic year 2001.
