Lebanese boat detained by Israeli navy

Originally published

Lebanese security sources said on Friday that the Israeli navy detained a tugboat in the Lebanese territorial waters and questioned the persons on its board for four hours. The sources added that Israeli gunboats opened fire in the direction of the vessel which was coming from a Northern Lebanese port and forced it into the international waters where four men on board were questioned by Israeli troops before being released.

This Israeli naval action was the first of its kind since Israel ended its 22 year of occupation of South lebanese area in May this year.
