French efforts to release the four Israeli soldiers held by the Hizbullah

The Israeli radio quoted the Israeli minister of regional cooperation Shemon Perez as saying that the French President Jacques Chirac talked on the telephone with each of the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and with the Iranian President Muhammad Khatami and discussed with them the question of the four Israeli prisoners who are held by the Hizbullah party.

The radio added that Perez thanked Chirac for his efforts during their meeting on Monday in Paris.
