Al-Assad gets message from Schroeder

President Bashar al-Assad Thursday received the ambassador of Germany in Damascus. Present at the meeting was the foreign minister Farouk al-Shara’ The ambassador conveyed to the president a message from the German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder on topics he had already discussed with President al-Assad during this recent visit to Damascus. Talks dealt with conditions in the occupied Palestinian territories, its latest developments, the current contacts regarding them and relations between Syria and Germany.
