Morocco's press union calls for better conditions for reporters

Originally published

The Moroccan press union (SNPM) has called for promoting Moroccan reporters' conditions and blamed the government for not engaging a serious dialogue on the issue. The union, which held a meeting of its administrative board in Casablanca, called in a release for finding a solution to pending problems, especially the promotion of the situation of the journalists of MAP (Morocco's news agency), RTM and 2M TV channels as well of reporters working in the private sector.

The union renewed its call to amend the statute of professional journalists and reform of laws regulating MAP and RTM.
