Tunisia has decided to immediately close the Israeli liaison office in it and the Tunisian liaison office in Tel Avi.

This was announced by a high ranking source who accompanied the Tunisian President Zein al- Abidin Bin Ali in Cairo to attend the urgent Arab summit.

Informed Tunisian sources said told Arabic News that this decision comes to cope with the summit's call to the Arab states which established relations with Israel in shadow of the peace process to cancel these relations to press on the Israeli government to change its brutal polices and works against the Palestinian people.

A Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) spokesman lauded the Tunisian move.

Tunisia hosted in 1982 the PLO leadership after it left Beirut following the Israeli invasion of Lebanon.

Tunisia established in 1986 interest bureaus with Israel.

In Qatar, the Qatari foreign minister Sheikh Hamad Bin Jaber al-Thani announced that his country calmly studies the condition of the Israeli trade office in Doha. He stressed that this office might be closed because Qatar stands with the Arab consensus, which is a natural matter. In statements to the press on the sideline of the Arab summit on Saturday evening Sheikh Hamad added: Qatar still studies the matter concerning the nature of its relations with Israel after the barbarous practices committed by the unarmed Palestinians in the occupied territories. He denied news that Qatar had agreed with Israel to export gas to it.
