Lebanese premier regrets US warning to its citizens over visiting Lebanon

Lebanese Premier and foreign minister Salim al-Hoss has strongly regretted what was released by the US state department in warning the Americans not to visit Lebanon.

In a statement he made in Beirut on Tuesday, al- Hoss said " we regret this position. The security condition in Lebanon is stable completely and this matter is quite obvious. Therefore we find no need for such a warning and we view it as improper and we hope the US administration will give it up."

On Monday the US warned against the risks of visiting Lebanon and moving in its parts. It called its citizens to take special security measures.

AFP said that the US state department justified its warning, in a statement, of continuing what it described non- stability in Lebanon. The state department said that the number of attacks which pushed it to release this statement has been relatively slowed down in comparison to the past 15 years of war in Lebanon, noting that the risks of such acts are still on SANA reported.
