Mubarak:Egypt supports al-Assad and Syria will not give up any piece of its land

The Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak assured Egypt's full support to Syria and to the new Syrian president in his stance in the peace process in M.E.

In an interview with the Syrian television yesterday evening, President Mubarak assured that Syria will not give up any piece of its land and that is the only way to peace. He revealed that the former Israeli prime minister Yitzhak Rabin informed him before being assassinated with his readiness to give back the Golan fully in return of certain guarantees.

Mubarak depicted President al-Assad as a committed man, saying that the stability in Syria is for the good of Egypt and the Arab nation.

President Mubarak also assured that the peace process needs, assuring his support to Bashar al-Assad as Syria's president.
