Algeria's president sends message of thanks to King Mohammed
Morocco's King Mohammed VI received a message of thanks from President Abdelaziz Bouteflika of Algeria in answer to the Royal message of congratulations on the occasion of Algeria's Independence Day.
Bouteflika underlined that the common past is uniting the two countries, that the present is calling for brotherhood and mutual respect and that the future prompts aspiration to what is better and useful.
"We are ineluctably doomed to a shared destiny, which will, if we fail to shape it with our reason, consciousness and capacities, be molded at our expenses and at the expenses of our two sisterly nations," the message reads, adding, "there is no doubt that we are not diverging on issues of concern to the supreme interest of our two brotherly peoples."
"Be confident that whatever the problems are, they will be inevitably settled sooner or later and that I will always be, with the help of God, standing at your side for the better and the worst, as the sincere brother and the friend giving advice, being imbued by the pride we feel for the ties of brotherhood and neighborliness binding us to your valorous people and for the feelings of friendship, affection and respect I harbor for Your Majesty and for your renowned family," President Bouteflika said in his message.
