Lebanese President Emile Lahoud had refused to give amnesty to collaborators with Israel. He stressed the need of trying them for what they had committed of crimes against their people and country.

The Lebanese president, had refused the call for general amnesty launched earlier this week by the hireling Antoine Lahd, the commander of the Israeli backed and allied SLA militia .

During his meeting with several Lebanese delegations on Thursday in Beirut, the Lahoud added that any amnesty decision will not include the ones who collaborated with the Israeli enemy against their people and homeland.

He indicated the great difference between the great majority of citizens of the occupied part of south Lebanon who stood up to the catastrophic conditions imposed on them by the occupation and the small group who carried the weapons with the Israeli occupation and targeted citizens inside and outside the occupied part of South Lebanon.

President Lahoud added that the citizens will be under a special care by the state while the hirelings will be under the specialized court and the enforced law because of the crimes they had committed.

Meantime, the Lebanese Prime Minister Salim al-Hoss stressed Lebanon's commitment to a comprehensive and just settlement in the framework of cohesion between the Syrian and Lebanese peace tracks.

During his meeting on Thursday with a delegation representing the NATO members, al-Hoss stressed that comprehensive settlement would establish a just and unwavering peace.

He stressed that Lebanon will use all available means to liberate its territories from the Israeli occupation.

He added that any violation by Israel to the UN resolution 425 that will result in keeping even one inch of the Lebanese territories under the Israeli occupation will be viewed by Lebanon as a redeployment for the occupation forces and not a withdrawal.

Al-Hoss indicated that Lebanon has been under daily aggressions targeting its citizens and civil installations, and despite that Lebanon is still committed to a just settlement and to cohesion between the two tracks.

He said that the Lebanese national resistance forced Israel to abide by the implementation of UN resolution 425. And this withdrawal is a victory but when it will be complete and comprehensive, so as to include Shabaa farms, which are Lebanese territories, and are not subject to bargaining.
