Originally published

The Algerian news agency asserted that the delegation of Amnesty International to Algeria revealed that this country "has nothing to hide" in the area of human rights.

The Algerian official news agency added that this visit should be viewed as "a phase of ending a case which has provoked the anger of Algeria, due to the false accusations addressed against it in the name of human rights."

The chairman of the organization is expected to meet during his visit which will continue until May 13 with officials at the Algerian ministries of the interior and justice and representatives of civil society, especially lawyers and families of those who suffered violence and have relatives missing.

Meantime, the Algerian dailies issued on Wednesday said that nine persons were killed and 11 wounded, including 11 security men, in acts of violence carried out on Monday and Tuesday in various parts of the country.
