The union of German tourism companies will convene its coming meeting in Cairo at the end of the current year.

A statement issued by the Egyptian Tourism Ministry said that Jerd Hislman, head of union of the German tourism companies, will visit Cairo soon to sign the final agreement for establishing these meetings in Cairo and that 600 tourism companies of those working in organizing tourist trips to Egypt from Germany and other countries will participate in the meetings.

Organizing the meeting in Cairo comes after an increase in German tourism movement to Egypt, which reached 548,000 tourists out of 4 million that visited Egypt during 1999, so that Germany occupies the first position on the list of persons coming to Egypt for tourism.
