Anti-normalization conference held in Kuwait
The people's conference on resisting normalization with Israel in the Arab Gulf will hold its first constituent meeting on April 8 in Kuwait.
The Kuwaiti daily al-Qabas said on Sunday that some 300 invitations were extended to political, social, trade unions and vocational figures to attend this constituent meeting.
The paper quoted sources close to the conference that invitations were addressed to all members of the Kuwaiti Ummah Council (the parliament), political and public figures, all heads of vocational and trade unions. Invitations were also extended to independent figures and other dignitaries from the Gulf states, Egypt and Lebanon.
The sources indicated that the conference will discuss measures that should be taken by Gulf people from various social strata to boycott the "coming " normalization operation of the Arab Gulf states with Israel.
