Weizman, and Syrian- Israeli negotiations

Israeli President Ezer Weizman has expressed his hope that the news broadcast by the Israeli TV on Saturday on achieving a peace agreement between Syrian and Israel is "true."

During his visit to an Israeli soldier who was wounded during an operation carried out by the Israeli forces against a house where a group of Palestinians were hiding in the Palestinian city of al-Tibeh on Thursday, the Israeli president added, "It is better to wait because each of Washington, Tel Aviv and Damascus deny this news," Israeli Radio reported.
