Catching smuggled chemical materials to Kuwait that are used in producing nerve gas

El-Watan Kuwaiti newspaper said yesterday that chemical materials that could be used in producing nerve gas were found after they were smuggled into Kuwait last week.

The paper added that US experts in this field arrived in Kuwait on Sunday night and immediately started taking samples from all materials to send to specialized laboratories to make sure of its components and sources and that these materials were found inside two Jordanian trucks coming from an unnamed Arab states.

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior said last Wednesday in a statement issued by the public relations department that the security bodies frustrated smuggling prohibited chemical materials in two Jordanian trucks.
