Moroccan teachers on two-day strike
Moroccan teachers are observing this Wednesday and Thursday a 48-hour strike to support a series of claims.
The Moroccan Labor Confederation CDT, close to the prime minister's socialist USFP party, has called for the strike to claim the promotion of primary and secondary education teachers, the readmission of teachers who have been sacked for their unionist activities and the adoption of a special statute for teachers.
Teachers affiliated to two other trade unions, UGTM and UMT also went on a two-day strike on Feb. 17 and 18.
