Meetings of Qatari - Bahraini committee commence tomorrow

Sheikh Jasem Bin Hamad al-Khalifa al-Thani, the Qatari crown prince, is due to arrive tomorrow in Manama to attend the first meeting of the Qatari - Bahraini supreme committee under the chairmanship of the crown princes in the two countries.

Nothing formal was issued about the agenda of the first meeting of the committee which wasthe formed at end of December 1999 during the visit of Qatari Emir Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa al-Thani to Bahrain.

The committee's mission is to develop fields of cooperation between the two states, including studying establishing a bridge to link them and to allow citizens of the two states to move between them with identity cards.
