Wholesale prices index increases by 0.8%

Wholesale prices index increased by 0.8% in 1999 compared to 1998, according to the Statistics Department's newsletter.

The increase is attributed to industrial and agricultural sectors whose indexes increased respectively by 0.9% and 0.7%.

Wholesale prices average index went up by 3.3% over the 1990-1999 period, the increase is due to the industrial and agricultural sectors whose indexes increased respectively by 3.8% and 3%.
