Ahmadi-Nejad warns Israel on Syria
Syria-Iran, Politics, 7/14/2006

Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadi-Nejad said any aggression against Syria means aggression against the world of Islam.

Ahmadi-Nejad yesterday in a telephone conversation with his Syrian counterpart Bashar al-Assad said "If the Zionist regime attacks Syria, it will have to suffer a crushing response."

The two officials discussed the current regional developments namely the Israel's latest atrocities in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon.

Criticizing the international communities for their silence over the recent regional crisis, Ahmadi-Nejad expressed his deep concerns over the brutal attacks of Israel on the Palestinian and Lebanese settlements in which civilians, especially women and children, were killed in cold blood.

Al-Assad held Israel responsible for the crisis and violation of the year-long ceasefire in the occupied Palestine and attacking the Gaza Strip.
