Egypt efforts to settle Sudan - Chad tensions

Asked about a proposal by the Nigerian President on holding a five-way summit grouping the leaders of Egypt, Libya, Chad, Sudan and Nigeria to solve the conflict between Chad and Sudan, Egypt referred to one such proposal on holding a meeting in Tripoli on January 4, saying, however, there were no responses to the proposal yet.

Egypt's foreign minister said he would meet Chadian counterpart to discuss the issue.
