China underlines support to Syria

China underlined Friday importance of the resumption of negotiations on the Syrian and the Lebanese tracks, asserting that Syria plays a key role in the Middle East issues.

In a meeting between the Syrian delegation of the National Progressive Front visiting China and Chairman of the Permanent Committee of the Political Consultative Council of the Chinese people Jia Ching Leen, Leen underlined his country's care for developing relations with Syria, expressing full support to Syria's rights to protecting its lands and sovereignty.

Leen also stressed his country's readiness to exert efforts to achieve progress in the peace process in the Middle East, expressing appreciation over Syria's support to China.

He also pointed out to the Chinese decision to incorporate Syria on the list of the Chinese tourist destinations.

For their part, Members of the Syrian Delegation reviewed the situations in Syria, stressing their country's commitment to its rights and to achieve a just and comprehensive peace based on the international resolutions.
