Mrs. al-Assad meets Mrs. Samraa Sezer

Syria and Turkey discussed means of activating cultural cooperation on all levels between both countries.

Syria's First Lady, Mrs. Asmaa al-Assad, met Turkish counterpart Mrs. Samara Sezer on Wednesday morning at the People's Palace.

Talks during the meeting dealt with situation of women in the Islamic countries, and the difficulties they face and how to enhance their role to develop the society.

Present at the meeting were Minister of Expatriates, Head of Family Affairs Commission and the wives of the official delegation accompanying the Turkish president.

Mrs. al-Assad and Mrs. Sezer on Wednesday paid a visit to the Syrian Virtual University in Damascus accompanied by Minister of Higher Education. They were briefed by the University Rector on the University programs to develop it in a framework of a comprehensive plan to enhance the higher education sector in Syria.
