Moroccan writer and ICJ Decision over separation wall
Palestine-Israel, Politics, 7/17/2004
" The International Court of Justice's ruling on illegality of Israel's separation apartheid wall in the West Bank is a precious gain to the Palestinian just cause." Moroccan writer Abdul-Ilah Belkziz said.
In an article published Friday by al-Khaleej newspaper, Belkziz added that it is for the first time that a partial international punishment was issued regarding the Israeli commitment of an act though many of its crimes passed unpunished due to the American Veto at the UN Security Council.
He pointed out that the verdict is not a non-binding advisory opinion, as some claim, because its legal dimensions force the UN to interfere and protect the international law and compel Israel to cancel all aspects of violation of this law on top of which is the racial wall.
Belkziz underlined that the court ruling must reach to all international circles and active forces, and a wide international political campaign must be organized in favor of activating and implementing it as soon as possible.
