Syria, China for boosting trade Exchange relations

A meeting between Syrian businessmen delegation headed by Ratib Al-Shallah, head of Damascus Chamber of Commerce, and Chinese delegation headed by Wan Jifi, Head of the Chinese Council for development of Foreign Trade, took place yesterday in Damascus. Shallah stressed the importance of boosting cooperation in various economic fields, activating the signed agreements and establishment joint specialized exhibitions for the two countries products.

Shallah called on Chinese businessmen to carryout investment projects in Syria.

For his part, Jifi praised the process of modernization and development which Syria witnesses and expressed hope that Chinese companies and businessmen will carry out investment projects in Syria benefiting from facilities offered to investors by Syria's government.

The Chinese delegation includes 23 businessmen in fields of textiles, petrochemical, electronics and industrialization of agricultural products.

Meantime, Wan Jifi met Mohammed Mustafa Miro who affirmed the importance of enhancing relations of cooperation between the friendly countries in different domains particularly in the fields of economy, commerce, industry and tourism stressing the importance of activating the signed agreements and the role of Trade Chambers and Businessmen in establishing a real partnership and joint investment projects. Miro stressed the importance of opening the Chinese markets in front of Syrian products and increasing trade exchange.
