Gas pipeline exploration project from Algeria to Europe
The Algerian company of hydrocarbons Sonatrach and the Spanish oil group CEPSA signed a protocol of agreement of a joint company (50/50%) that will be charged of studying the feasibility of a gas pipeline to link Algeria directly with Europe via Spain, Sonatrach announced Wednesday in Algiers according to the official Algerian news agency APS.

Joblessness in Morocco increased from 12.9 % to 13.2 % between the second quarter of 1999 and that of 2000, the Moroccan statistics department said. Joblessness among women went up by 2%, while the rate of jobless diploma holders went up by 4%. Go

Jordanian statistics department revealed on Tuesday discrepancy increase in the Jordanian trade at 32.3% so as to reach 1.3 US $ billion in the first 7 months of this year, in comparison with the same period of 1999.
