King Abdullah confers with Sudanese vice president

King Abdullah of Jordan on Wednesday in Amman received Sudanese Vice President Ali Othman Muhammad Taha and members of the accompanying delegation.

The two sides reviewed bilateral relations, and stress was laid on the deep and solid relations linking the two countries and the desire of the two leaderships to strengthen them in various fields.

The Jordanian king expressed his satisfaction over the results of the meetings of the joint Sudanese- Jordanian higher committee and the decisions released that avail the two countries' chances to increase the volume of investments.

The Jordanian king indicated the importance of the role played by the Jordanian and Sudanese private sectors in strengthening trade and economic cooperation between the two countries through implementing joint venture projects for the benefits of the two peoples.

Earlier in the day, the Sudanese vice president met with the speaker of the Jordanian Parliament, Abdul Hadi al-Majali. The two officials stressed the deep relations linking the two countries.

They reviewed bilateral relations, especially in the parliamentary field.

The two sides also stressed the need for joint efforts to strengthen bilateral relations in all fields.
