Discussions between Khartoum and the SPLA army next month

Originally published

Sudanese opposition sources said peace talks between the Sudanese government and the Sudan People's Liberation Army (SPLA) concerning the IGAD initiative will begin in middle of the coming month.

The peace talks have been taking place under the supervision of the Inter-Governmental Authority on Development (IGAD) in East Africa since 1993.

A delegation from the mediation committee headed by ambassador Daniel Meboba is currently visiting Khartoum to agree with the Sudanese government on arrangements for the coming round of talks that will be held in Kenya.
