Government policy statement targets peace, development

The government policy statement has identified a number of strategies that aim at maintaining sustainable, comprehensive and just development.

It urged more support for serious investors-the driving force behind the augmentation of development rates, more competition to serve the consumer, and more openness.

These strategies will be implemented through the following executive programs

1 - Developing relations with world countries to maintain peace and development.

Egypt was, still is, and will remain the driving force of peace efforts, and it seeks to realize just and permanent peace in the ME, in addition to its active participation in all world efforts aiming to spread peace and stability-the main component of Egypt's diplomacy.

Egypt works hard to cement its relations with world countries in order to maintain peace and development through concluding international agreements to widen scopes of exporting commodities and services.

Egypt exerts more diplomatic efforts to study and evaluate job opportunities abroad and make Egyptians aware of such opportunities.

Egypt spares no efforts to get closer its national research centers with those abroad. It, further, works hard to boost its relations with world companies involved in technological field. Egypt calls on its scientists abroad to take part in building the aspired-for technological revival.

2 - Making use of Egypt's strategic place

Egypt occupies a geographical spot that renders it a trade hub linking the four corners of the world. This hub has six major ports, in addition to two new ports in north Suez Gulf and East Port Said, a matter that gives Egypt good share in containers trade.

3 - Maintaining Egyptian heritage

Egypt has early participated in establishing a time-honored civilization. Its lands harbor the most precious archaeological treasures all over the world, not to mention its matchless beaches stretching over 2000 km. This, together with an apt climate for investment, contributed much to attracting foreign investments in infrastructure.

4 - Investing Egypt's creative potentials

Egypt supports, to a great extent, media institutions and backs up exchanging expertise in this vital field. It, also, pays great attention to technology, which is a key to maintain media supremacy.
