Mubarak confers with Sudanese defense minister

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak on Thursday received Sudanese Defense Minister Abd al-Rahman Sirr al-Khatim. Present at the meeting was Egyptian Minister of Defense Lt. Gen. Muhammad Hussein al-Tantawi.

Talks dealt with conditions and developments that took place in Sudan recently, especially the decisions taken by Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir on Sunday.

Egypt had, on the other hand, announced its backing for the legal Arab conditions and for President al-Bashir.

Meanhwhile, Egyptian Foreign Minister Amr Moussa said that Egyptian-Sudanese meetings will be held on all levels.
