Jordanian - Egyptian tourism programs

Originally published

Egyptian Businessmen's Association asked for cooperation with Jordan in the field of tourism and for making haste in creating joint tourism programs to attract more tourists to the two countries.

In a report presented yesterday to Egyptian Tourism Minister Mamdouh El-Beltagi, the association warned of tourism programs raised by Israeli tourism companies that include visits to Egypt's southern Sinai, especially Sharm El-Sheikh, Dahab and Nowaiba, without referring to these locations as Egyptian tourism areas.

The head of the tourism committee in the association, Mohammed Lehaitah, said, "There is a necessity to make haste in forming a joint Egyptian - Jordanian tourism committee that links the business organizations and companies in the two countries according to the instructions of the Jordanian - Egyptian business council."
