Originally published

A team of 21 Syrian agronomists are undergoing a training session in Morocco on the topic of communication in the rural world.

The session --December 13 through 29-- is financed by the Syria-based Arab center of studies on arid and dry zones and is moderated by experts from the dry farming center of Settat, 150 Km south east of Rabat, the agriculture department and the higher information and communication institute.

The dry farming center of Settat is also organizing a study trip to the benefit of 7 Syrian agronomists and heads of cattle breeding associations on the topic of "participative management of grazing lands and sheep breeding."

The Syrian engineers will visit several companies, centers and farms across Morocco.

The Settat dry farming center, set up 18 years ago, conducts research on an integrated and efficient management of agriculture in arid and semi-arid areas. It runs 18 labs, 3 greenhouses, and conducts various experiments over a 700 hectare area.
