Kuwait denies existence of Algerian mediation for reconciliation with Baghdad

Kuwaiti diplomatic sources in Cairo denied the existence of any mediation by Algeria for a reconciliation between Kuwaiti and Baghdad. The sources told ArabicNews.com that the visit of the Algerian president's personal envoy to the country recently came at the invitation of the Kuwaiti Information Ministry, that it has nothing to do with Kuwaiti - Iraqi relations and that reports that Algerian envoy Mohie El-Din Amimour is exerting mediation efforts is nothing but an Iraqi maneuver-- nothing more and nothing less.
