$400 million in Japanese aid to Jordan
Jordan said that Japan has offered it economic aid worth $400 million to help achieve Jordan's economical stability, as Jordan suffers from a shortage in the payment balance and a large external debt.
Japan informed Jordan that the aid will be granted over three years in an official note.
The aid includes rescheduling debts of $146 million pledged by Japan in an agreement that was ratified during June at the meeting of the Paris Club, where creditors rescheduled nearly $800 million of Jordan's external debts.
