Tunisian plan for developing tourism

Originally published

The Tunisian Cabinet ratified under the supervision of Tunisian President Zein El-Abidin Ben Ali a new plan for developing its cultural, entertainment and sports tourism.

Ratifying this plan comes after the increase in the hotel capacity to 188,000 beds in June, instead of 14,000 beds in 1962 (the beginning of Tunisia's concern with tourism).

The plan includes promotion and marketing in the traditional markets for the tourists coming to Tunisia or opening new markets in Japan, Australia, the USA, Canada and the Scandinavian countries.
