Egyptian - Palestinian diplomatic discussions

Egyptian Foreign Minister Amr Moussa met today with Palestinian Minister of Information Yasser Abed Rabbo, who heads the Palestinian delegation in the peace talks.

Palestinian sources in Cairo today said that Abed Rabbo informed Moussa of developments in the peace process, the Israeli stance toward the peace process and the final status negotiations.

Meanwhile, US Middle East peace process coordinator Dennis Ross arrived today in Israel to prepare things before the visit of US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright at the end of the current week.

Middle East sources said the peace process is in a crisis and that there must be a strong intervention by the European Union and Russia to push the peace process forward.
