Originally published

The Yemeni official Sabaa news agency said on Thursday that Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh received on Thursday two messages from Saudi Arabia's King Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz and from Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah relating to "sisterly relations between the two states and demarcation of what has been left of borders between the two countries."

Meanwhile, the Yemeni daily al-Thawri, the mouthpiece of the opposition Yemeni Socialist Party, said that one of the party's members was assassinated in Taaz area in the country's hinterland on Thursday.

The paper quoted a statement by the party as calling for initiating a dialogue to reach an actual reconciliation that will put an end to conflicts and the consequences resulting from the civil war of 1994.
