Kuwaiti crown prince accepts invitation to visit USA

A source at the divan of Kuwaiti Crown Prince Sheikh Saad al-Abdullah al-Sabah said on Sunday that Sheikh Saad had accepted a US invitation to visit the US on a date to be fixed later.

The source denied press reports that said the date for Sheikh Saad to visit the US is next Wednesday, after the return of Sheikh Jaber from the Gulf (GCC) summit.

The source did not deny or confirm press reports on the determination of Sheikh Saad to hold medical checks during his visit to the US which may last for weeks.

The source stated that the "response of Sheikh Saad to the US invitation came as a perpetuation of the firm relations between the two friendly countries and that a statement will be released later from the emir's divan concerning the timing of the visit as soon as it is fixed through diplomatic channels."
