Gulf foreign ministers meet in Riyadh

Originally published

Gulf states' (Gulf Cooperation Council) foreign ministers are convening tomorrow in Riyadh under the chairmanship of the Saudi foreign minister prince Saoud Al-Faisal.

It is decided that the minister will discuss the agenda of the gulf summit which comprises regional and international issues among which are the new developments in the peace process, the Iraqi and the Gulf files as well as the Arab - Iranian relations.

Gulf sources said that "there are disputes among countries of the cooperation council regarding the Saudi - Iranian cooperation and that the Emirates wants to list this item on the agenda of the Gulf as Emirates refuses this cooperation and considers it a breach to the resolutions of the previous summit which calls Iran on the necessity of giving back its occupied Islands by Iran."
